JCI Hawaii is proud to offer members the opportunity to practice and master their skills, in a controlled, non-competitive environment through our First Trimester Mock Write Up Experience.
This event will be asynchronous, meaning participants will have their own control regarding when they want to complete the experience (within the given experience period of May 4th-12th).
A Prepared Write Up, and Impromptu Write Up will be offered to participants, in order to closely mimic the the two potential formats of competition at the JCI USA national level.
Prior to 2021, Write Up competitors were tasked with completing an essay within a prescribed amount of time, with no advanced knowledge of the topic (Impromptu Style).
In 2021, the format was changed to allow participants a prescribed amount of days to complete a topic at their own leisure (Prepared Style).
Thus, JCI Hawaii would like to offer members the opportunity to practice both skills, as it is unknown which method JCI USA will pursue at this year’s competitions.
